1. In short

• Destresser needs no account and has no server of its own. We do not receive any personal data from you.
• Your settings (vibration, language) are stored only on your device.
• The app is free and shows a banner ad from Google AdMob. Only for that is data shared with a third party (Google). Personalised ads are shown only with your consent.

3. Data that stays on your device

Settings

Your settings – whether and how strongly each gadget vibrates, and which language the app uses – are kept in the app's local storage on your device. They are not sent to us or to anyone else. Deleting the app deletes them too.

Motion sensor

The “Marble” gadget uses your device's accelerometer to roll the ball. Sensor data is processed only while the marble is on screen, only on your device, and is neither stored nor transmitted.

Vibration

Vibration is triggered directly through the operating system. No data is stored or transmitted in the process.

4. Advertising with Google AdMob

To keep Destresser free, the app shows a banner ad. For this we use Google AdMob, a service of Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland (“Google”).

What data is processed

• IP address (and an approximate location derived from it, e.g. the country)
• Device information such as model, operating system and version, language setting
• Information about the app and the ads, e.g. which ad was shown or tapped
• Your device's advertising identifier (“IDFA” on iOS, “Advertising ID” on Android) – only with your consent

Purposes

Google uses this data to serve ads, limit how often they appear, prevent fraud and measure reach. Only if you consent is the data also used to tailor ads to your interests (personalised advertising).

Consent and legal basis

On first launch the app asks, via a consent form provided by Google, whether you agree to personalised ads. On iPhone, the system also asks whether the app may track your activity across other companies' apps (“App Tracking Transparency”).

• Personalised ads and access to the advertising identifier are based on your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR; for users in Germany also § 25(1) TDDDG).
• If you decline, the app still shows ads, but without personalisation. The processing needed for that is based on our legitimate interest in offering the app for free (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

You can withdraw or change your consent at any time, with effect for the future: in the app under Settings → General → Privacy settings. On iPhone you can also control tracking under Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.

Transfers to the USA

Google may transfer data to Google LLC in the USA. Google LLC is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, for which the European Commission has found an adequate level of data protection.

5. App Store and Google Play

When you download Destresser, Apple or Google process data (e.g. your account information) under their own responsibility and privacy policies. From them we only receive aggregated, anonymous statistics (such as download numbers) and – if you allowed it on your device – anonymous crash reports.

6. No other services

We use no analytics or tracking services other than those listed. We do not sell data or share it with any other third parties.

7. Children

Destresser is not directed at children. Users under 16 should agree to personalised advertising only with their parents' consent.

8. Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to

• access your data (Art. 15),
• rectification (Art. 16) and erasure (Art. 17),
• restriction of processing (Art. 18),
• data portability (Art. 20),
• object to processing based on legitimate interests (Art. 21),
• withdraw consent with effect for the future (Art. 7(3)),
• lodge a complaint with a data protection authority (Art. 77).

10. Changes

We update this policy when the app or legal requirements change. The version published here applies.
